Important information about who we are, who we aren't, and what we do.

We are not a government agency.

TennesseeContractorLicense.com is operated by K&K WAY ENT LLC, a private consulting service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:

  • The State of Tennessee
  • The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance
  • The Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors
  • Any other government agency, federal, state, or local

Our use of the words "Tennessee" and "Contractor License" in our domain name reflects the geographic and topical focus of our consulting services. It is not intended to imply, and should not be interpreted as implying, any official affiliation with the State of Tennessee or its agencies.

What we are.

We are a consulting service operated by Kelly, a Tennessee licensed general contractor (BC-A #85428, issued March 31, 2026, valid through March 31, 2028). License status can be independently verified through the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors.

We provide guidance and advisory services to individuals and businesses seeking a Tennessee contractor license. Our services are based on Kelly's personal experience completing the Tennessee licensing process and his 25 years of experience in the construction industry.

What we don't do.

We do not issue contractor licenses. Only the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors can issue, deny, suspend, or revoke contractor licenses in Tennessee.

We do not guarantee that you will receive a license. The final decision on any license application rests entirely with the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors and depends on factors specific to each applicant's experience, financial standing, exam performance, and documentation.

We do not provide legal advice. Kelly is a licensed contractor, not an attorney. For legal questions about business entity formation, contracts, liability, or regulatory compliance, you should consult a licensed Tennessee attorney.

We do not prepare CPA financial statements. That service must be performed by a licensed Certified Public Accountant. We can recommend CPAs who specialize in contractor financial statements, but we do not perform that work ourselves.

We do not provide exam tutoring or exam prep courses. Several companies specialize in this and do it well. We may recommend specific exam prep providers, but the prep itself is not part of our service.

We do not sell insurance, surety bonds, financing, or other financial products. We may recommend providers, but we are not licensed to sell these products.

No guarantees.
